About the Tuskegee–Morehouse Classic
The first Tuskegee–Morehouse Football Classic was played in Columbus in 1936. This historic rivalry continues to bring communities together while supporting scholarships for students. Over the decades, the Classic has become a cherished tradition celebrating HBCU excellence and community spirit.
The Tuskegee–Morehouse planning committee is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers. The primary purpose of the Classic is to help raise funds for scholarships to help young men and women attend college. Through various events including the Franklin Douglass Golf Tournament and the Classic Parade, we've raised thousands of dollars to support education and student success.
